He also loves to run and play, followed—of course—by one of his other favorite activities: soaking up belly rubs and enjoying your company. He’s the kind of companion who is happiest simply being near his people, bringing a quiet sweetness and comforting presence to the home.

Like any true beagle at heart, Hunter takes mealtime very seriously. In fact, he considers everyone’s dinner to be his business, which is why he enjoys dining in his crate—his own private little restaurant where he can focus on his meal without being tempted to “inspect” the other dogs’ bowls. He may not always remember to let you know when it’s time to go outside, but once you learn his subtle signals and unique little language, he communicates beautifully and blossoms with trust.

Hunter would love nothing more than a calm, loving home where he can play with his toys, receive lots of attention, and be cherished for the sweet, slightly goofy, deeply lovable dog that he is.
