Hank - Basset Hound Dog for Adoption in Sioux City, Iowa

Hi, I'm Hank! I'm a happy, lovable guy who thinks people are the BEST! Give me attention, pets, cuddles, or even just a little conversation, and I'll be your new best friend. I'm great with everyone, including dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. I love having friends and being part of the action. I'm still working on my potty training, but I'm learning and doing my best. I just need a little patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement while I figure it all out. If you're looking for a sweet, social, fun-loving pup who will happily shower you with love (and maybe a song or two), I might just be your guy!

The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.
