Meet Jane!

Jane is a sweet, approximately 9-year-old Basset Hound/Springer Spaniel mix who is looking for her forever home. Her previous owner was elderly and recently moved overseas, sadly unable to take Jane or her big brother, Jake, along.

Don't let her age fool you—Jane is still a spry girl who enjoys going for walks and occasionally playing with a toy. She has outgrown the puppy habit of chewing everything in sight, so she's happy to enjoy her toys without turning them into a renovation project! More than anything, Jane loves being with her people. Once she decides you're her person, you'll have a loyal little shadow following you around.

Jane is currently recovering from a UTI and is working very hard on her house manners. She has been doing a great job letting her foster family know when she needs to go outside, and we're hopeful that as she continues to recover, the occasional accident will become a thing of the past.

Much to Jane's dismay, she is also on a weight-loss plan. The good news is that her hard work is paying off! She has slimmed down enough to fit through the dog door, and her foster family is helping her learn to use it all by herself.

Jane is kennel trained and has recently discovered the joys of blankets and soft, cushy dog beds. Needless to say, they have quickly become some of her favorite places to relax.

She is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and spayed. Jane is an easygoing, affectionate girl who would love nothing more than a home where she can spend her days close to her people, enjoy some leisurely walks, and curl up in a cozy bed.

Oh, and she will make sure you never forget when it's mealtime—or when her water bowl is getting a little too close to empty! Jane believes these are very important matters and feels it is her responsibility to keep you informed.
