Frank - Basset Hound Dog for Adoption in Brookville, Ohio

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.
Meet Fabulous Frank!!! Frank is an 8 year old basset looking for a new home! He came to OBHR after his family had to move to a home without a yard and Frank has not done well without a yard and room to run and play.

Frank came from a home with another dog and would prob be best in a home with an active playmate to keep him exercised so he will need a home with a fenced in yard. Frank did come from a home with cats and he pretty much ignored them per his former owner. He is also good with kids but due to his high energy a bit older might be best so he doesn’t send those buggers flying like bowling pins!

Frank loves walks and sleeping and will sleep in bed with you! He loves bones and toys especially rope toys to play tug of war! He is house broken and crate trained and will scratch at the door to let you know he needs to go out! And like any good basset....Frank has a BAAAYYYYY!

Frank is currently in Columbus and his adoption fee is $300. He is fixed and all up to date! If you would like to add this handsome hound to your family and have already been approved within the last 6mo email ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. If not applications can be submitted at ohiobassetrescue.com

The Basset Hound is a unique and recognizable breed known for its long body, droopy ears, and soulful eyes. Originating from France, they were originally bred for hunting small game like rabbits due to their keen sense of smell and sturdy build. Despite their laid back and affectionate nature, Basset Hounds are also persistent and independent thinkers, which can make training a bit challenging. With their low energy levels and love for lounging, they make wonderful companion dogs for families seeking a loyal and easygoing pet.
