Sometimes circumstances change through no fault of our own, and a beloved pet suddenly needs someone new to love them.

Patrick’s owner is going into a care home and is no longer able to care for him. We were asked to share this wonderful boy in hopes of finding him a loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by the same love and security he has always known.

Patrick is an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd mix, approximately 48 pounds, currently located in Lakewood, Ohio.

Patrick sounds like an absolute sweetheart. He is described as sweet, gentle and quiet — he does not bark.

He is neutered, house-trained, good with dogs, good with cats and good with children. He has not needed to be crated in his current home, so his crate-training status is unknown.

Patrick is reported to be healthy and has veterinary records available. He does take thyroid medication twice daily, which his future family will need to continue.

Patrick is not looking for a new home because of anything he has done. His owner’s circumstances have simply changed, and we would love to help this sweet boy land softly with someone who will cherish him.
