Meet Remington, a 7-year-old, 25-pound Miniature Australian Shepherd who has been quietly winning over everyone he meets. This sweet boy has a gentle spirit and a soft way about him, and once he feels comfortable, his personality starts to shine in the most endearing ways. Remington can be a bit shy when he first meets new people or encounters new situations, and it may take him some time to adjust and learn new routines in a home environment. Remington is working on learning new behaviors and how to settle into a home. He gets along well with other dogs, walks great on a leash, and loves hiking. He does get nervous with changes and can be a flight risk when his environment is shifting. A high, secure fence-or a home without a backyard during his adjustment period-will be important for his safety. Once he's comfortable, he handles visitors well and will even approach guests for pets.

Remington also requires another confident dog in the home to help him continue building confidence and feel secure in his environment. A meet-and-greet is required to ensure it is a good fit.

He also happens to be a huge fan of mealtime and treats, especially his favorite: boiled chicken. Watching him light up when food comes out is one of the many lovable things about him.
