Hi, I'm McKees—AKA Mickey or Mick—and I'm ready to be your shadow!

I'm a 3-to-5-year-old Mini Aussie who recently traveled from Pennsylvania to New Hampshire in search of my forever family. Could it be you?

While some Aussies dream of herding sheep, my dream job is Professional Couch Velcro! I'm happiest glued to my person's side, soaking up attention, reassurance, and praise. Look into my eyes and my tail starts wagging—and may never stop!

My favorite things include:

Truck rides! If a vehicle door is open, I'm jumping in—even if we aren't going anywhere.

Zooming around the yard or fields—as long as my person is nearby.

Brushing, combing, and being towel-dried. I'm a little wiggly, but only because I love the attention!

Relaxing quietly indoors. I'm not a big barker and will gently rest my head on you or softly whine when I want affection.

I already know “sit,” “paw,” and “come,” and I'm happy to work for treats!

Like everyone, I have a few quirks. I want all the love and can become jealous when another dog gets attention. I also like to be the boss and should be fed separately from other dogs. Cats are not a good match because I want to chase them. Horses and cows make me nervous, but my foster mom says I'm learning quickly and becoming less anxious around the barn.

I'm carrying a few extra pounds, but I'm already slimming down and feeling less itchy on lamb-and-rice food. I also have mild tartar and some pretty terrible breath, so I'll need a dental cleaning soon.
