Meet Jolene!

Hi! I'm Jolene! I am soft spoken, shy and can be cautious about meeting people. I’m about 1.5–2 years old, and I’ve come a long way on my journey to finding a forever home.

I was found abandoned in the desert with a few other dogs. I had a litter of puppies, and they’ve all been adopted! Since I grew up in the wild, learning to trust people has taken time. After months of intensive training, I’m discovering that humans can be kind, and I’m starting to enjoy their company more and more.

I’m still a shy girl, so I’ll need a patient family who can give me time, consistency, and a predictable routine while I learn to trust. I’ve recently started allowing my caregivers to pet and brush me, and I’m finding that I really enjoy it! I also know how to sit, go to my place, and I absolutely love my crate.

When I’m feeling comfortable, I enjoy going for walks, playing with toys, soaking up the sunshine, and getting brushed. I’m spayed, vaccinated, and ready for the next chapter of my life.

I may need a little extra time to open my heart, but with patience, love, and understanding, I’m ready to build a special bond with my future family. Could you be the one to help me feel safe and loved forever?
