Zadie is a sweet, intelligent 2-year-old Australian Shepherd looking for a patient and loving home. She came from a puppy mill and is still learning that the world can be a safe place, so she can be timid around new people, situations, and experiences. With kindness, consistency, and time, Zadie blossoms into a loyal and devoted companion.

She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys both leisurely walks and more active outings like jogging. Once she feels comfortable with you, she can be very food-motivated, especially when high-value treats are involved.

Zadie would thrive in a quieter home, ideally with another confident dog who can help her build trust and confidence. She also appreciates having a safe space of her own, such as a crate, where she can retreat if she feels overwhelmed.

She gets along well with children and cats, although her excitement can occasionally lead to chasing a cat. Zadie is house-trained and does best when given regular walks for bathroom breaks.
