Tory - Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Effingham, Illinois

COURTESY POST: MEET TORY!
Pretty girl alert! Meet Tory, a beautiful miniature Australian Shepherd who will celebrate her FIRST birthday on October 25th!
Tory is looking for a new home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. She’s a sweet girl with a playful side, but she needs someone willing to give her a little time to let her personality shine.
A little about Tory:
BALL IS LIFE! Playing ball is her absolute favorite activity!
he currently lives with a cat, and the two are great friends who love playing together! Her compatibility with other dogs is unknown.
She’s loving with people she knows, but strangers make her nervous. She may bark or growl when meeting someone new, so patience and a gentle approach are important.
Tory would do best in a quieter, adult-only home where she can build trust at her own pace.
This smart little lady even rings potty bells on the door when she needs to go outside! How cute is that?!
She’s an indoor dog who enjoys going outside to play and sleeps in her crate at night with her favorite blanket.
A few important things to know:
Tory has a skin condition that requires medicated wipes from her veterinarian to keep her comfortable. She also has a sensitive stomach and currently does well only on Freshpet food. Other foods have caused vomiting.
She’s current on vaccinations and has received her veterinary care at Effingham Veterinary Clinic, primarily with Dr. Chad Ely.
Tory has not yet been spayed.
Tory isn’t looking for just any home. She’s looking for the RIGHT home. Someone who understands that not every dog is instantly comfortable with strangers, who will respect her boundaries, and who will love her for the wonderful little girl she is.
And if you happen to enjoy a good game of fetch, Tory thinks that would be a HUGE bonus!
PLEASE SHARE! Her perfect person might be just one share away!
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Tory is not housed at the shelter. Her current owner is seeking a loving new home for her.
As always, we ask that any pets currently in a potential adopter’s home be up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered. Veterinary references are important in helping ensure a responsible, loving home.
Let’s help Tory find her happily ever after.
