Summit and his 2 siblings came to us from the Navajo Nation where they had been born and were living with a family who were caring for their mother. After she had the puppies she was spayed and the puppies were cared for until they were old enough to be sent to us to find their forever homes.
Summit's mom is an Australian Shepherd mix who is on the smaller side, but their dad is believed to be a larger sized husky. We think these pups will be medium sized fully grown, possibly around 50 lbs.
Summit is a very funny, athletic, and sweet boy. He has very thick, long fur and will need regular maintenance to keep it clean and healthy. He is a busy boy who is looking for an active home with people who are around a lot and are ready to train and exercise a new pup.
Summit and his siblings love to play fetch, love running around with people, are curious about other dogs, and want to be with their person whenever they can. They have begun crate training but any house training, crate training, and manners training will still need to be started with their new families after adoption.
Summit's adoption fee is $300. He will be neutered, chipped, and up to date on his puppy vaccinations prior to adoption. For more information please call us at 970-749-1968 or submit an application at www.durangoanimalconnection.com/forms-adoption
