Really Rosie
Sweet, Petite Rosie – The Ultimate Velcro Mini Aussie
At just 5 years old and 22–23 pounds, Rosie is the perfect little Australian Shepherd companion. This confident, affectionate Mini has truly never met a stranger. Whether she’s greeting new friends with kisses, asking for belly rubs, or happily following her favorite person from room to room, Rosie lives to love.
Rosie spent her life with a wonderful family who adored her. Sadly, when the children developed severe allergies to dogs, they made the heartbreaking decision to find her another loving home where she could receive the attention she deserves.
Rosie has settled beautifully into her foster home, where she immediately bonded with her foster dad and quickly learned to use the doggie door after watching her foster brother—a Mini Aussie about her size—for only a couple of tries. She’s incredibly intelligent and eager to please, whether the reward is praise, affection, or a tasty treat.
She is:

Because Rosie spent most of her life as a cherished family companion, she may need a little practice walking on a leash. Fortunately, she’s such a quick learner—and at only 22 pounds, she’s easy to handle while she gains confidence. With her intelligence and desire to please, she’ll have it mastered in no time.
Like many Australian Shepherds, Rosie is a true Velcro Aussie. She wants to be wherever her person is and will happily follow you everywhere. She loves backyard playtime but is wonderfully calm, cuddly, and affectionate indoors. If allowed, she’d be thrilled to sleep beside her person each night after spending so much time unable to snuggle with her previous family because of their allergies.
Rosie may show a few herding instincts, but she has no tendency to nip. She’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest being close to the people she loves.
We’re looking for a home where Rosie won’t spend long hours alone. She would thrive with someone who works from home, works part-time, is retired, or can bring their dog to work. We’d also love for her to have a friendly male dog companion (or two!) to play with and enjoy life alongside.
Because of her tiny size, we believe Rosie would do best with mature adults or families with older, respectful children who understand that herding breeds flourish with affection, reassurance, companionship, and continued positive training.
If you’ve been searching for a devoted little shadow who will fill your days with unconditional love, Rosie may be the perfect match.
