Hi there! I’m Sage, and I’m looking for a family to call my own!

My story started with a pretty heartbreaking chapter. My mama’s owner passed away, leaving her and all of us puppies behind. Thankfully, we’re getting our chance at a fresh start, and now I’m ready to find the family I’ve been waiting for.

As for my breed, we’re thinking Catahoula x Australian Shepherd x Blue Heeler... but we have absolutely no idea who Dad was. He could’ve been any of the above, all of the above, or the neighborhood mailman’s dog for all we know! One thing’s for sure: with those possible genetics, I may come with a little extra brains, energy, and personality!

I’m a social, outgoing, smart little pup who’s ready to take on the world. I love interacting with people, exploring new things, and being part of the action. I’m not the kind of puppy who’s going to be happy just looking cute on the couch all day (although I will absolutely excel at that part, too).

I’ll need an active home that understands working and herding breeds and the importance of mental stimulation. Think walks, adventures, training, puzzle toys, games, and activities that give my clever little brain a job. Otherwise, I might decide that reorganizing your furniture, redesigning your landscaping, or teaching myself how to open the pantry sounds like a perfectly reasonable hobby.

Mama weighs around 55 pounds, so I will grow up to be a medium sized dog!

The good news? All that intelligence and enthusiasm means I could be an incredible companion for someone who enjoys teaching a dog new things and including their four-legged sidekick in everyday life. I have so much potential, and with the right family, I’m going to shine!
