1.5-year-old Black & White Australian Shepherd (nub tail). Lucy is 35lbs, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

She is a sweet, sensitive girl who loves quiet companionship and affection once she feels safe. She settles nicely in the home, has a great “off switch,” and lives peacefully with other dogs and a cat.

Lucy’s biggest challenge is environmental anxiety. Busy or noisy settings (like city streets or parks) can overwhelm her, so she’s looking for a quiet, rural or suburban home where she can relax and build confidence.

She can be shy when meeting new people but warms up with patience and gentle handling. Lucy tends to feel more comfortable around other dogs and may benefit from a calm, confident canine companion.

Lucy is also working on house training and will do best with a consistent schedule to help her succeed—she’s very capable with the right routine and structure.

Lucy’s ideal home:
• Quiet environment (not a busy/urban setting)
• Secure, physically fenced yard (she can be a flight risk when startled)
• Patient adopter willing to continue confidence-building and training
