Merle Haggard - Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Alexandria, Louisiana

Isn’t he the cutest!!! This is Merle! His personality is as precious as his looks. He’s estimated at 3-4 months old and is an Australian shepherd mix that weighs about 20 pounds. He’s been neutered and fully vaccinated. He is crate trained, in the process of potty training and is learning to walk on a leash. He gets along well with all other dogs, cats and farm animals. He loves all people and doesn’t mind if you want to hold him like a baby ( he actually loves it!). He is absolutely precious and he can’t wait to have a home of his own.

The Australian Shepherd is a highly intelligent and energetic herding dog known for its loyalty and work ethic. Originating in the United States, despite its name, this breed is prized for its agility, trainability, and versatility in various dog sports and activities. With proper training, socialization, and exercise, these dogs make excellent companions for active families and individuals seeking a devoted and playful four legged friend.
