Australian Shepherd and German Shepherd Dog Dogs Available for Adoption in Santa Monica, California

Billy is the definition of a gentle, easygoing companion. This sweet 6-year-old, 50 lb boy was found as a stray in the desert alongside six other dogs and later ended up at the Palmdale Animal Care Center. We rescued him just hours before he was scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding and we’re so grateful we did.

Since joining us, Billy has shown us what a special dog he is. He’s calm, affectionate, and loves the simple things in life: napping in the sun, going for walks, and spending time with his people. He’s been doing great with crate training (sleeping quietly through the night!) and is currently working on his leash manners.

Billy is dog-friendly and has done well with both male and female dogs. He enjoys playing but isn’t over the top. He has a nice, balanced energy that makes him an easy addition to many types of homes.

He’s neutered, vaccinated, and ready to start his next chapter. Whether you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy or a laid-back family dog, Billy could be your perfect match.
