Meet Chase: All He Needs Is Someone to Believe in Him
Chase is a 3-year-old handsome boy with one unforgettable blue eye and a story that deserves a much happier ending. This sweet soul was abandoned along an extremely busy road, left in a situation no dog should ever have to face. Thankfully, one incredibly kind citizen stepped in to help, and because of that person's compassion, Chase is still here today.
While his past may have taught him that people aren't always safe, Chase is still learning that the world can be a kinder place. His behavior suggests he's been through some difficult experiences, and trusting humans doesn't come naturally to him just yet. He doesn't fully know what it feels like to be loved by a person, to feel safe in someone's arms, or to rest easy knowing someone will always be there for him.
But that's what makes his next chapter so important.
Chase has done well with other canine friends, and having a confident, friendly dog around may be a wonderful way to help him learn the ropes. He's looking for someone who understands that trust takes time, who will celebrate the little victories, and who won't expect him to become a completely different dog overnight.
For Chase, progress might look like choosing to come a little closer, relaxing in someone's presence, or discovering that a gentle voice doesn't mean something scary is about to happen. Those may seem like small things, but for a dog who's had a rough start, they're HUGE.
We're not asking someone to save Chase's whole world in a single day. We're hoping to find someone willing to show him, one day at a time, that the world can be good, that humans can be kind, and that he is worthy of love exactly as he is.
Chase has already been given a second chance at life. Now he needs someone willing to give him a chance at love. Could you be the person who helps this beautiful boy finally feel safe?
