Hi. I’m Darla. I’m 3 years old, 29 pounds, and apparently my legs got the memo that they were supposed to be EXTRA LONG. I’m basically a runway model who accidentally ended up at animal control.

I was surrendered through absolutely NO fault of my own, and I’ll be honest... the whole shelter thing made me a little nervous. I’m not the kind of girl who walks in and immediately assumes everyone is her new best friend. I like to observe. I like to take my time. I like to make sure you’re not secretly weird. Once I decide you’re trustworthy, though, I’m friendly and ready to show you my sweet side.

I get along well with other dogs, and I have excellent kennel manners — I NEVER use the bathroom where I sleep. See? I’m classy AND house-training material.

Now I just need someone willing to give me a little patience while I figure out that I’m safe and loved again. In return, you get a sweet, lean, long-legged girl who is ready to leave the shelter behind and become somebody’s forever dog.
