Iris (I litter) - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in San Diego, California

Hello there, future family! I'm Iris, and I'm quite the little flower, if I do say so myself. I'm a sweet Australian cattle dog mix girl, born on August 24, 2026, which makes me just a few months old and bursting with puppy charm. I came into the world as part of the 'I' litter, a special group of pups whose journey started with our brave mama needing an emergency c-section after her big trip from Mexico.

I have a knack for really watching people and tuning into the energy of the room. I love to take in all the sights and sounds, always ready to read the situation with my calm, thoughtful eyes.

More than anything, I adore being held and snuggled tight. When you pick me up, I just melt into your arms, happily soaking up all the warmth and affection, proving I’m always game for a good cuddle sesh.

I’m a smart cookie who’s really getting the hang of potty training, and with a little continued guidance, I’ll be a house-trained pro in no time. When it’s playtime, I enjoy a good romp but also appreciate a quiet cuddle session, balancing my energy perfectly. I'm ready to observe all the wonderful things life has to offer, especially with you by my side!

My adoption fee is $550, this fee covers my first year of vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. Do I sound like the dog for you? You can fill out an application to adopt me at http://www.thecantufoundation.org/adopt.html

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
