He loves to play, loves to cuddle, and believes every dog he meets is a potential new friend. He also has a wonderful off-switch: he’s happy to relax and hang out for hours, but the second you grab the leash, he’s ready for an adventure.

Car rides? Yes, please! Samie rides happily in his crate. Treats? He has zero standards and maximum enthusiasm. He rarely meets a snack, apple slice, or blueberry he doesn’t love.

Samie is still working on his leash manners and recall, and he can be shy when meeting new people. That’s just one small part of his story — he had a challenging start, but his resilient spirit has carried him through. He’s learning to trust, getting comfortable in his world, and showing more confidence every day.
