Jesse - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in Ruskin, Florida

Jesse came to us with his brother, James. He is about 6-7 months old. He and his brother are pretty vocal when greeting strangers but calm down quickly and enjoy all the attention he is getting from our volunteer handlers.

He is very loving and sweet and enjoys a welcoming lap. Since he is a Cattle dog he will need to yard where he can use his Frisbee retrieving skills. This is a very active breed of dog and will need a home that enjoys his energy level and also his loving demeanor.

Come on by to meet this young guy and maybe enjoy a game of Frisbee. We are open to visitors Tues-Fri; 10-2:30.

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
