Harley (Portland, OR) - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler and Cattle Dog Dog for Adoption in Mount Vernon, Washington

Harley is a two-year-old, 54 lb cattle dog. Harley came to us from Yakima after her owner surrendered her. She grew up with her brother. Harley is confident, energetic, and friendly with dogs and humans, including children and teenagers. She is a lover girl and a certified velcro dog. Ball is life for Harley! Ball, frisbee, really anything that she can chase (including other dogs). Harley also loves chomping at and jumping into the hose water; based on this, we think she might like swimming. She doesn’t like sudden, loud noises or being away from her human(s), especially in a crate, and will need continued crate and separation training. She is excellent on a leash.

Like most cattle dogs, Harley is extremely smart, ready to learn, and requires continued work and stimulation. She is learning tricks quickly in her foster home and already has the basics down, with great recall. She’s very food motivated.
Harley hasn't lived with cats and is not recommended to given her interactions with cats she sees on walks. Harley does very well living with other dogs and values daily playtime.
