Bindy - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler and American Staffordshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Georgetown, Kentucky

At about 38 pounds, Bindy may not take up much space physically, but this Heeler/Staffy mix has plenty of personality and energy to go around! She's a fun, active girl who would love an adopter ready to keep up with her and give her the exercise, enrichment, and structure she needs. Experience with Heelers or other high-energy breeds is definitely a plus!

Bindy absolutely loves car rides and giving kisses, and she's pretty good on a leash. Like any curious Heeler, though, she may pull when something catches her attentionbut she can be redirected and is continuing to work on her manners. Additionally, her recall is exceptional!

She's also got a funny little independent streak. When it comes to belly rubs, Bindy is a bit like a cat: she'll decide when the belly is available, thank you very much.

At night, Bindy settles beautifully in her crate and sleeps peacefully. She does best with regular potty breaks, so a home where someone works from home or can come home during the day for a potty break would be ideal.

Bindy is dog-friendly. She hasn't been cat tested, and she has shown a little too much interest in the goats at her foster home, so a home without livestock would likely be the best fit. Because she's energetic and can be a bit of a bull in a china shop, we think kids 10+ would be the best match.

Bindy is looking for someone who sees a high-energy dog and thinks, "Perfect. Let's go!" If you're looking for a fun, active companion and are prepared to give a Heeler mix the exercise, structure, and engagement she needs, Bindy might be your girl!

Bindy has completed her vet care (spay, vaccines, microchip) and cannot wait to meet you! Her adoption fee is $250. If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP!

A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the 2-week adoption trial period.
