MEET MIQUEL!

This sweet boy is Miquel, and he is looking for his forever home!
Miquel can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he really loves attention and affection. When he’s happy and excited, he can show off his playful, active side!

We’re also working with Miquel on his leash training, and he’s making progress.
If you’re looking for a sweet boy who just needs a little time to feel comfortable and show you his personality, come meet Miquel at Douglas County Animal Services!

By the way, Miquel is Neutered, microchipped, and current on all shots -- all ready for a new home.

For more information, please call Douglas County Animal Services (DCAS) at 775-782-9061. Or come meet me at the Douglas County Animal Shelter (please call first to make sure I'm still at the shelter). Click on Douglas Animal Welfare Group below for the address and directions.

ALSO A "MEET AND GREET" WILL BE REQUIRED IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER DOGS IN THE HOUSEHOLD.

ONE LAST THING! If you rent, you will be required to provide written approval from your landlord that you can have a dog. It needs to be specific, i.e. all dogs okay, no big dogs, specific breeds restricted, etc.

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
