Whiskey - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in Cheyenne, Wyoming

Meet Whiskey!

Whiskey is a sweet boy who just needs a little time and patience to feel comfortable with new people. He may take a while to warm up, but once he starts to trust you, his sweet personality can shine through! Whiskey would benefit from a patient home that will give him the time and space he needs to settle in at his own pace.

Whiskey does resource guard his food, so his future family should be prepared to manage mealtimes safely and respectfully. He is also sensitive to veterinary handling, so extra patience and care during vet visits will be important.

With understanding, consistency, and lots of love, Whiskey has the potential to make a wonderful companion.

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Blue Heeler, is a hardworking and intelligent breed originally developed in Australia for herding cattle. Renowned for their endurance and agility, these medium sized dogs have a striking blue or red speckled coat and alert, curious expression. With a strong herding instinct and boundless energy, they require mental stimulation and physical activity to thrive. Blue Heelers are loyal, protective, and make excellent companions for active individuals or families willing to provide the engagement and exercise they need.
