Huck - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler and Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Atascadero, California

Buck and his brother, Huck, were found in Avenal and brought to Avenal Animal Services. For those unfamiliar with the shelter, Avenal has had only four adoptions so far this year. They rely heavily on rescue organizations like ours to help move dogs out of their small facility and into areas where they have a better chance of finding homes.

Our rescue focuses on helping dogs from high-risk, high-need California shelters, and we’re always especially happy when we can help Avenal pups make their way into forever homes.

Buck is the more outgoing of the two brothers. He’s playful, bold, curious, and already having a great time running around with my big dogs and exploring the property. He has a wonderful temperament and is showing himself to be a smart, loyal pup who should be a quick learner.

Buck would make a great addition to a family looking for a fun, affectionate young dog to grow with.

Our adoption fee is $300. All dogs go home fully vaccinated, and if they have not yet been neutered at the time of adoption, our rescue arranges their neuter appointment at a low cost clinic in SLO county and covers the cost.
