Hi there! My name is Sissy, and I’m looking for my forever home, I arrived at the shelter on 4/7/26 when my previous owner could no longer give me the time I deserve. They described me as shy and loving—and that’s very true! I’m a gentle soul who likes to take life at a slower pace.

New places and new faces can make me a little nervous at first, so I’m hoping to find a patient and understanding family who will give me the time I need to feel safe. Once I do, I promise I’ll be the most loyal and devoted companion you could ask for.

I weigh about 58 pounds and am considered a medium-sized dog—just the perfect size for cuddling! And speaking of cuddling... I love affection and would be so happy to curl up beside you at the end of the day.

I’m also a smart girl! While I’m here, I’ve been practicing commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “down,” and I’m eager to keep learning with my new family.

Because I’m still figuring out how to interact with other dogs, I may do best as the only pet in the home, or with very slow introductions. A calm, quiet environment would really help me feel comfortable and thrive. I haven’t had experience living with children yet.
