Henna is a sweet, playful Anatolian Shepherd mix, approximately 3 years old, with a big heart and an even bigger love for other dogs. She's a little reserved with new people at first, but she warms up fast — give her a few minutes and she's yours. She is not yet spayed or up to date on vaccines, and we're happy to help a foster get that sorted.
Henna is full of energy and affection, and she absolutely lights up around other dogs — a home with a dog buddy would be her dream. The one thing she asks for is a cat-free home; she is vocally anti-cat and does best where there are no cats around.
This is a temporary foster, not an adoption. Henna's family is entering treatment and needs someone to care for her short-term so they can bring her home once they're back on their feet. She isn't being given up — she just needs a couch and a kind person to hold her spot for a little while, so a family can stay together through a hard stretch.

Anatolian Shepherds have a distinctive short double coat that comes in various colors, with a black mask common on their faces. They require early socialization and consistent training to manage their independent yet devoted temperament effectively.
