Oliver was found as a stray by a local sheriff department. They were not able to find the owners. He was underweight and neglected but cheerful and happy to get in the car. He has been a happy camper ever since. He just is the most even- tempered guy.
At first, he was interested in getting into other yards and getting closer to the humans here. We moved his room to the front, where he could see all the goings on in the barn and house AND he could see all the yards in the kennel. That made him very happy. He exemplifies everything typical of an Anatolian Shepherd. He is very low-key, watchful and will let us know if something out of the ordinary is happening. He is a very sweet boy and very friendly.
His buddy dog Stanley brings out his playful and goofy side. They love to wrestle, chase and play hide and seek. We would like to adopt these boys as a pair.
Oliver is healthy and up-to-date on his shots, on heartworm preventative and has been neutered and microchipped. He has not met a lot of small children, but he seems at ease with strangers. He is very observant and always lets us know if the cat gets out...he just knows she isn't supposed to be out.
He is also very handsome. Both he and Stanley are two years old.
If you are interested in adopting, pls email eae niven@ icloud.com no spaces or go to our website www.dogwoodfarmsanctuary.com. If you make an inquiry and then, after we respond, you are no longer interested, please let us know. This speeds up the process for the next applicant.
