Linus - Anatolian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in South Elgin, Illinois

LINUS

Anatolian Shepherd
🇺🇸
South Elgin, Illinois
September 2nd
male, medium, adult

DESCRIPTION

Meet the handsome and oh so sweet Linus! This big guy is about as loving as they come...once he gets to know you. He is a bit shy and a little nervous when he first meets new people. But it doesn't take long for him to consider you his best friend! And once you are, you'll have a loyal companion for life!

Linus lived with another dog in his previous home, and has shown that he does like the company of other dogs, although he hasn't yet been playful with them. So far, he's just sort of spent time with other dogs while here at the shelter. But having another dog around has helped his confidence grow, so we expect he'll do great living with another dog that will respect his boundaries. And who knows, once he's comfortable and happy in a new home, hopefully his playful side will come out and shine!

Because Linus is a shy guy, he'd probably do best in a home without small children. Little people can be scary to shy dogs. But he'd do great as a family dog with older children, say 14 plus.

Because Linus is an all star dog, his adoption comes with some extra benefits. His Meet and Greet appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and he will go home with his very own no-pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get him off to a good start! To schedule an appointment to meet Linus, call 847-697-2880 x61 or email info@ahconnects.org (please include your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to help you!

All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

If you're not ready to adopt, please reach out to fosters@ahconnects.org about fostering Linus while he waits for his forever home!
