Leslie is a 2-year-old spayed Anatolian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix who has been waiting for someone to notice her. She arrived at the shelter in May, and despite being there for months, she has received no adoption or rescue interest. Leslie is still sitting in the shelter, patiently waiting for her chance.

At first, Leslie can be a little shy, but give her some treats and a little patience, and her personality begins to shine. Once she warms up, she becomes a wiggly, talkative, affectionate girl who will happily crawl into your lap and ask for more pets. She also did well during her temperament testing with a neutered Siberian Husky mix, showing that she can enjoy the company of another dog.

Leslie is affectionate once she feels safe. And after months of waiting, she desperately needs someone willing to see the wonderful dog hiding behind her initial shyness. Please don't let Leslie's kennel become where her story ends. Time is running out. Leslie must exit by 5:00 PM on August 20, 2026.
