Sable is the definition of a survivor. Estimated at 3 years old and weighing in at a sturdy 67 lbs, this beautiful Anatolian Shepherd came to the shelter with her puppies. Of course her puppies were secured by rescues but momma was left behind. Now that she's done her job as a selfless mom, it's Sable's turn to be taken care of.



Sable is a classic guardian breed—loyal, calm, and devoted to her people once she knows she is safe. She has a wonderful, easygoing energy and is great with other dogs and kids, making her a fantastic companion for a multi-dog household.



What Sable is looking for:

An Experienced Leader: Sable needs a family who understands the Anatolian Shepherd breed. She is smart and independent, so she'll thrive with someone who provides clear, consistent, and kind guidance.

A Secure Sanctuary: Because of her guardian instincts, she requires a home with a securely fenced yard or large land where she can patrol and relax.

Patience & Love: As a former working mama, she's ready to hang up her "official duties" and become a full-time couch potato and best friend.
