DESCRIPTION
Looking for a loyal companion with the heart of a puppy and the soul of a goofball? Meet Ace! At just under two years old, Ace is a big, lovable guy who's still got that playful puppy energy--and the cuddly instincts to match. If he could live in your lap, he absolutely would! Shelter staff believe Ace is housetrained--he's polite enough to only go in his outdoor kennel. He's smart, eager to please, and ready to thrive with someone who can help him learn and grow. With the right guidance, Ace has the potential to be the ultimate adventure buddy or couch companion (or both!). He does have a strong prey drive and a curious spirit, so a secure yard with a fence at least 6 feet tall is a must--he's been known to take himself on self-guided tours of the neighborhood. But with love, consistency, and a bit of structure, he'll happily stick close by your side.

ABOUT: ANATOLIAN SHEPHERD DOG BREED
The Anatolian Shepherd is a large and powerful ancient breed known for its loyalty, intelligence, and protective nature. Originating in Turkey, these dogs were bred to guard livestock from predators, showcasing their strong natural instincts. Anatolian Shepherds have a distinctive short double coat that comes in various colors, with a black mask common on their faces. They require early socialization and consistent training to manage their independent yet devoted temperament effectively.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
