(DOB: 07/23/2025) Looking for more joy in your life? Meet Junie! This one-year-old girl has enough personality, enthusiasm, and zoomies to keep you smiling all day long.
Junie's idea of a good time? Hopping down the hallway in hot pursuit of her bouncing ball! She's an exuberant player who loves fetch, tug-of-war, and pretty much anything that involves having fun. She's also a total road-trip fanatic and would happily be your co-pilot for adventures near and far.
Junie has done well with other dogs, and a home with her own fenced yard—or regular access to one—would be ideal so she has plenty of room to run, play, and burn off that youthful energy.
But Junie isn't all zoomies. When playtime is over, she's ready to plop on the floor, hop into your lap, or snuggle up close. When something makes her a little unsure, she leans right into her person for reassurance. She's affectionate, sweet, and happiest when she knows her people are nearby.
Junie is still figuring out this whole “being a grown-up dog” thing, including the important distinction between good things to chew and things that are definitely NOT chew toys. She has done surprisingly well navigating the noise and distractions of downtown streets with her foster, although she seems determined to personally inspect—and occasionally “clean”—every sidewalk she encounters. A quieter suburban setting may ultimately be her happy place.
At 46 pounds, Junie is the perfect size for an active family who wants a dog who can keep up with their adventures and then happily snuggle afterward. She's crate trained, house trained, and dog friendly. And that forehead wrinkle when she looks at you? Absolutely irresistible.
Junie needs a home with older children (teenagers), as her enthusiastic play style may be a little overwhelming for younger kids.
If your life could use a little more laughter, a little more snuggling, and a whole lot of fun, Junie is ready to make that happen. Whether it's a game of fetch in the yard, a tug-of-war showdown, or a road trip with the windows down, Junie is ready to be your girl. Apply to meet her and let the adventures begin!
As part of Junie's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Junie, you can complete an application online for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
