🫶🏻WELCOME JOE BOB🫶🏻
Because apparently someone looked at this goofy, 8-month-old puppy and said, “Nah.”
Joe Bob came into DuPage County Animal Services as a stray and, despite waiting for his people, nobody ever came. Their loss. Our gain.
During his stray hold he had an intermittent limp that had everyone scratching their heads, so x-rays were taken. Turns out Joe Bob has old, healed fractures of his radius and ulna. The veterinarian believes the breaks happened when he was much younger. Somehow, despite never receiving treatment, those bones healed remarkably well - just with one impressive callus to remind everyone that puppies are tougher than we sometimes give them credit for.
And Joe Bob?
He didn’t get the memo that life was supposed to slow him down.
This kid is out there doing full-time puppy things. Zoomies? Yep. Playing? Absolutely. Living like every day is the greatest day ever? Without question.
Dogs are funny that way. They don’t spend their days dwelling on what happened to them. They just wake up and decide today’s a good day to chase a toy, make a new friend, and convince their foster family they absolutely need one more snack.
We’re pretty big fans of that outlook.
Welcome to Chi-Town Pitties, Joe Bob. Your story before us may have been a little rough around the edges, but from here on out, we’ve got you.
All good things from here. ❤️🐾
