Oreo - American Staffordshire Terrier and Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in Tishomingo, Oklahoma

Oreo is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish him as a family member. He is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want his transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!).

Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Oreo can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life. In the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Oreo is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found.

Oreo is a one and a half-year-old "everything-in-one" mystery mix who is ready to find his forever family. Whether you are looking for a car-ride companion or a professional snuggler, Oreo is your guy.

The Stats:

Size: 55-60 lbs (A sturdy, medium-large boy)

The "Oreo Blend": His DNA results are in! He is a unique mix of American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and American Pit Bull Terrier, with a dash of 12 other breeds. In short: he's one of a kind.

Personality & Perks:
Oreo had a rough start—he and his siblings were found abandoned on the side of the road—but he hasn't let that dampen his sweet nature.
He is a social butterfly who recently enjoyed a "day out" with a volunteer, proving he is a natural in the car (he insists on the front seat!) and was a total gentleman with people and other dogs at the park.
Energy Levels: Oreo has "zoomie" spurts but is surprisingly low-maintenance. After about 10 minutes of running or a nice walk, he's ready to clock out and relax.
The Indoor Life: He recently spent an afternoon in a home and was a perfect guest—no accidents and he already seems to understand that potty time happens outside.
TV Enthusiast: Oreo is fascinated by the television. His current favorite? Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Snuggle Bug: It took him a second to realize what a couch was for, but once he figured it out, he became a world-class cuddler.

Ideal Home:
Oreo gets along great with other dogs and is very sweet-natured. Because he is still a young, bouncy boy who likes to jump up to say "hello," we recommend a home with children ages 10 and up.
Bonus: He was recently groomed and was a "Gold Star" patient for his bath and nail trim! The groomer thought he was hilarious!
Cats: He hasn't met a cat yet, but we are happy to test him with feline friends upon request.
Quirks: He has a hilarious habit of putting his front legs in his water bowl while he drinks—perfect for anyone who appreciates a dog with a sense of humor. He LOVES water!

Oreo is fully "vetted" and ready to settle into your heart! His adoption includes a comprehensive health package so you can focus on the snuggles from day one:

Fully Vetted: Oreo is already neutered and up-to-date on all his essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPPx3, and Bordetella).
Prevention: He has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and is heartworm negative.
Safety First: To ensure he is in tip-top shape for his new family, he will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate. All performed within 10 days of her transport date.

Adoption Details
Oreo's adoption fee is $700. This fee is all-inclusive, covering his neuter, all veterinary care listed above, and his seat on a professional transport service dedicated to getting him safely to your area.
