Champ the Family Dog Courtesy Post - American Staffordshire Terrier and Bulldog Dog for Adoption in Scottsdale, Arizona

Meet Champ the family dog! Champ is a 4-year-old, 80 lb mixed breed with a heart the size of his big ol’ head. Champ is potty trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Champ is a sweet, affectionate goofball who loves attention. If he could fit in your lap, he would happily spend all day there! He loves belly rubs, enjoys playing tug-of-war, and has a goofy smile that makes everyone fall for him. One of Champ's best qualities is how much he loves kids. He enjoys being part of the action and would love a family that includes him in everyday activities and adventures.

Champ enjoys getting out for walks and rolling in the grass. He rides well in the car, takes treats and toys gently, and knows how to be a polite companion. He is eager to spend time with his people and is always ready for his next adventure.

Champ is looking for a dog-free home where he can be the center of attention. While he loves people, especially children, he is dog selective and would do best as the only pet. He would thrive with a family that wants an affectionate, loyal companion to join them on walks, hikes, road trips, and cozy evenings at home. A family with kids would be a dream come true for this gentle giant.

Champ was rescued as a stray and never reclaimed. While we don't know much about his life before rescue, it's clear that he's ready to leave his days of fending for himself behind and become a beloved family member. This handsome guy is looking for a forever home where he'll never have to worry about being alone again.

Champ’s adoption fee is $350. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think he could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application

*Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.
