Gonta - American Staffordshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Sanford, Florida

Gonta is a fun 5 year old male. He is social and playful and full of puppy energy! And he is smart - he knows sit, down and give paw, and he is treat-motivated too :) Gonta weighs 60 pounds and he is already neutered and vaccinated so he can go to his forever home the same day he is adopted!

If you are interested in adopting, please come to the shelter and ask to visit with Gonta (ID number A557091) You are not required to fill out an online form. For more information about adopting from Seminole County Animal Services contact Bree at bburkett02@seminolecountyfl.gov or (407) 665-5436

**PLEASE READ** Petfinder indicates this dog is house-trained BUT we are unable to say yes or no since many come in as strays and the dogs are in a kennel here at the shelter. Tons of adopters tell us they are house-trained and maybe it just takes a few days for adjustment in a new home so PLEASE do not be discouraged from adopting these amazing pets!

The American Staffordshire Terrier, also known as the Amstaff, is a medium sized, muscular breed known for its loyalty and courage. Developed in the United States, they are intelligent and affectionate dogs, making them great family companions. With a distinctive short coat and strong build, American Staffordshire Terriers are often misunderstood due to their past as fighting dogs, but they are actually loving and playful pets when raised in a nurturing environment. They thrive on human interaction and are eager to please their owners.
