You might look at Max and think, "What on earth is in that dog's genetic woodpile?" A lot of us sure did! In this case, we have reports that Max's parents were a Pit Bull and a Border Collie. Max came in with his sister, Princess (posting soon), who is quite a bit smaller and very obviously a Pit Bull with a white coat and one black eye patch. You'd never guess they were related. Max kinda looks like a lanky Pittie wearing some kind of wiry haired terrier costume. Regardless, the effect is a whole lotta cuteness!

At 7 months, Max is still fulla beans, a joyful puppy who makes friends with new people easily and loves other dogs (see the comments for his interaction with Pepe, also available for adoption). His exuberantly outgoing manner wins him lots of happy greetings from both two-legged and four-legged friends. He does not appear to have had much, or any, training as of yet. A home with older children may be most fitting for him, as he excitedly jumps up for attention. He may be easy to cure of that habit, as he is a good-hearted boy and he loves treats, which he takes gently.

For an active home that will appreciate his energy and pupperific charm, and who would enjoy training him up to meet their desires, Max could be just the perfect package of moldable, sweet playfulness that will have everyone smiling and laughing. Come meet the very adorable Max!

Max will need to be neutered before he can go home with you. He was keeping his kennel tidy initially, but when relocated to another kennel, he was less reliable; we'd guess he'll need to settle in with a house training routine. We don't have information on his attitude toward cats at this time.

A meet-and-greet is required if you have other dogs at home.
