Vida arrived at ACCT Philly as a stray in April, and her first days in the shelter showed just how overwhelming the world felt for her. She was initially so fearful that she struggled to walk through doorways and needed significant encouragement just to move through unfamiliar spaces. Over the next month though, Vida made incredible progress, slowly transforming into a dog who seeks out affection, wags her tail on walks, and shows sweet, playful side.
Vida is a gentle, affectionate girl who truly blossoms when she feels safe. Volunteers consistently describe her as sweet, easy to spend time with, and a wonderful companion. She appears to be house-trained, walks nicely once comfortable, and absolutely loves cuddles, pets, and staying close to her people. While she enjoys exploring outside, she's often happiest simply soaking up attention and affection.
Her time was coming to an end and she needed a savior. We are fortunate that a wonderful woman stepped up to save her life.

Vida seems scared of men so a female household is a better option for her. Someone who would love to have her close as she loves her human. A
household willing to allow her time to grow brave and work with her on her fear of
men. Vida is so sweet to me and loves to just sit at my feet or go for a walk with me.
She is so loyal to her person!
