Kolby hails from the Philly ACCT. She was an owner surrender. From what the owners said, they got their dog for their son and when the son moved out to go to school, they decided they no longer wanted to take care of her. However, records indicate that they tried to surrender her a year before so .......
They claim she was '"uncontrollable". She is just high energy. It's obvious they really didn't try to train her, nor understand her. They said she wasn't good with young children so we suggest older children.
So off she went to the shelter where she was just another face in the crowd. She did catch the eye by one of the volunteers who absolutely LOVED HER. He was posting all the time on social media to gain the attention of someone that would step up to foster her.
It worked! She was out of time but in luck!
We are so grateful that a wonderful, caring woman stepped up to save her life. This dog loves going outside. Loves going on adventures.

Kolby has been wonderful with people and dogs of all ages, although, I've only socialized her on a lead.
She is highly excitable around others, so she needs to get to know someone, human or non human, for a bit before She has "Free Time" with them as her size may be too much for others at first.
She is a total sweetie and a love bug.
She is fine at home without crating, She does prefer the company and attention of her humans rather than being left alone.
She needs to go out every few hours as her potty routine is working very well, so a big fenced in yard is helpful, and an active family or person as she so enjoys our adventures on the trails.
Kolby would enjoy a home with easy going chill but active folks who have time to play, give her cuddles, possibly a family with another dog who can keep up with her. Older children, maybe teens.
She of course would need time and patience to get acclimated.
On our outings, when others are approaching, Kolby will lay down to let those approaching know that she is friendly and all is good to pass by.
Kolby walks great on a leash and sometimes pulls because she wants to know what is going on...over there.
I feel in time, Kolby would like another canine companion. She enjoys the sunlight/moonlight and fresh air.
