Nova - American Staffordshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Long Beach, New York

Nova is a beautiful, one-year-old female mixed breed who is fully grown at only just 41 pounds—and she is truly an absolute gem.

Her foster mom said Nova is affectionate, easygoing, playful and incredibly loving. She settled beautifully into a home routine and is completely house trained with zero accidents. She’ll even let you know when she needs to go outside!
This smart girl already knows sit, stay, come, leave it, focus, on your mat and out of the kitchen. She knows her name, listens well and loves engaging with her people.
On walks, Nova has done wonderfully around other dogs, children and even those tempting New York City pigeons! She may be curious, but she listens when redirected. She previously lived with another dog and enjoys being a playful pup.
Nova is also crate trained, but she can be trusted loose in the home. Her foster family even left her for eight hours one day, and she was perfectly fine—just VERY happy to see them when they returned, greeting them with lots of kisses and the waggiest tail!
And then there’s the snuggling. Nova’s foster describes her perfectly:
“I’m convinced she’s boneless because she’s so stretchy and floppy. She’s a cross between a Squishmallow and a Slinky.”
Nova was recently spayed and up to date with shots but everything we have seen tells us she is a wonderful, well-adjusted young dog with so much love to give.

Nova deserves a beautiful home where she can finally settle in and share all that love. Whoever adopts this girl is getting one very special pup.
