Meet Buddy — Ready for His Second Chance

Buddy’s story is one that breaks our hearts. His family moved away and left him behind. A kind man followed Buddy back to the home he once knew, where Buddy waited there, hoping his family would return for him. But they never did.

When Buddy was found, he was in horrible condition and desperately needed someone to step in and help him. Once he entered rescue, we discovered that Buddy was suffering from entropion, a painful condition where the eyelid rolls inward and causes the eyelashes to rub against the eye. Thankfully, Buddy has now had surgery to correct it and has recovered wonderfully!

After everything he has endured, Buddy is finally getting the care, love, and second chance he deserves.

Buddy is crate trained, appears to be housebroken, and rides wonderfully in the car. He knows the sit command and is working on his leash skills. Buddy can get pretty excited when he’s out and about and does pull on the leash, so a strong, confident handler would be the best match for him.

Despite being abandoned and arriving in such terrible condition, Buddy continues to show us what a sweet, resilient boy he is. He is ready to put his past behind him and start the next chapter of his life with someone who will love him, guide him, and never leave him behind.
