Poppy’s story could have ended far too soon. She and her three puppies were found living in an alley, trying to survive on their own, before being taken to an overcrowded shelter where they were heartbreakingly placed on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn’t enough space. Thankfully, Poppy was given the second chance she deserved and now this beautiful girl is ready to find a forever home where she will never have to wonder if she’s safe again.

Poppy is the definition of gentle and loving. She has a soft, affectionate nature and the kind of soulful eyes that will look deep into yours as if she’s trying to say thank you for loving her. She’s calm, sweet, and enjoys simply being near her people.

Poppy has wonderful manners and a peaceful personality. She enjoys playing with her toys but isn’t destructive, making her an easy companion to have around the house. Outside, she enjoys exploring at her own pace, taking in all the sights and smells on her walks. She’s not overly noisy.

Meal time is one of her favorite parts of the day, and she takes treats very gently from your hand like the polite little lady she is. Poppy also does wonderfully with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with canine companions. She’s also good with children and would make a loving addition to a family.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
