DESCRIPTION

Can we all just take a second to appreciate this girl's face?! Between the perfectly winged eyeliner, those oversized satellite ears, and her sweet little expression, Miss Taco looks like she walked straight out of a Pixar movie. But somehow, once you get to know her, she becomes even more lovable.

Also, If dogs could be comfort food, Miss Taco would be a warm blanket, your favorite oversized sweatshirt, and a lazy Sunday afternoon all rolled into one. She's soft, gentle, easy to love, and completely content living the simple life. Add in her adorable little runway walk, her world-class couch potato skills, and enough love packed into 55 pounds to fill an entire taco truck, and you've got one incredibly special girl.

Watch her video and fall in love with her sweet gentle personality: https://youtu.be/2GBsqalJras?si=CsE0CbO9RXLMkSN9

At approximately 4-6 years old and currently 55 pounds, Miss Taco is our best guess at a Staffy/American Bulldog mix, but with animal rescue, it's always a mystery! Whatever breeds came together to create her, they gave her the sweetest soul, the cutest little satellite ears, and a face you'll never get tired of looking at.

Miss Taco is one of those dogs that makes you slow down and appreciate the little things. She's gentle, low energy, and wonderfully easygoing. Whether she's stretched out beside you on the couch, sunbathing in the backyard, or happily rolling around in the grass, she's perfectly content just enjoying life one peaceful moment at a time.

She can be a little shy when meeting new people and will need time, patience, and a gentle approach when she first comes home. She's the type of dog who likes to observe before jumping in, and we think that's part of what makes finally earning her trust so rewarding. During our time together, we watched her slowly go from keeping her distance to leaning into affection, enjoying pets, and even sneaking little kisses on the cheek. Once she realizes you're safe, her sweet personality starts to shine, and it's impossible not to fall in love.

Miss Taco has also done wonderfully with other dogs. She's much more of an introvert than a social butterfly and prefers simply existing alongside other dogs rather than constantly interacting with them. Her best friend is another calm, easygoing dog, and together they're the definition of "hanging out." They might have a one or two-second zoomie session every now and then, but for the most part, they're perfectly happy just enjoying each other's company without needing to be entertained. Because of that, we think Miss Taco would do best with another calm, low-key dog who's looking for a companion instead of a wrestling partner. Think company without constant interaction. Of course, she'd also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only dog soaking up all the love herself.

She also met our house cat, Biggie, and we couldn't have asked for a sweeter introduction. Miss Taco was calm, respectful, and never once chased him, even when Biggie was hopping onto furniture and doing all the typical cat things. Biggie felt comfortable around her too, which is always a good sign! While we don't know if she's ever lived with a cat before, we'd be happy to arrange an overnight cat test if you have a feline family member at home.

Miss Taco has been an absolute lady inside the house. She's crate trained, stays quiet in her crate, has wonderful house manners, and hasn't had any accidents. She isn't interested in toys just yet, but honestly, we think she's still learning that she gets to just relax and enjoy being a dog. Now treats... that's a different story. Treats are definitely one of the ways to this girl's heart. She may make you work for it at first, but once she decides you're trustworthy, she'll slowly walk over and take every treat from your hand with the gentlest little mouth. It's honestly one of the sweetest things to watch.

We think Miss Taco would be happiest in a home with a backyard where she can continue perfecting her favorite hobbies: soaking up the sunshine, rolling around in the grass, and embracing her inner professional lounger. Because she's so quiet and low energy, we also think she has the potential to do well in a quieter apartment or condo in a more residential area. We don't think the constant hustle and bustle of busy city living would be her style, but a peaceful neighborhood where she can enjoy leisurely walks and plenty of relaxation would suit her beautifully.

Miss Taco may not be the dog who comes barreling into your life on day one, but she's the kind of dog who quietly works her way into your heart and stays there forever. If you're looking for a gentle companion, a professional couch potato, and a best friend who will make every lazy Sunday even better, Miss Taco is ready to find the person who's willing to give her the time she deserves.

We are willing to test Miss Taco with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
