Meet Joy...Foster or adopter needed ASAP
After spending an entire year in a home, Joy has found herself back in boarding through no fault of her own. Her adopter’s girlfriend moved in with her dog, and unfortunately the dogs were not the right match. Now the only home Joy knows is gone, and she’s struggling to understand why she’s suddenly back in a kennel.
Joy is now 3.5 years old and 52 pounds of pure love, loyalty, and resilience. And despite everything, she is still the same sweet, affectionate girl everyone fell in love with.
The most important thing to know? Joy successfully lived with another dog for a FULL YEAR with no issues. She has also participated in playgroups and was known for her easy-going, steerable nature around other dogs. Shelter staff described her as a “happy bundle of joy” who would do just about anything for treats and affection.
She’s the kind of dog who melts into you for butt scratches, rolls over for belly rubs, and gives those soulful eyes that make you wonder how she keeps getting overlooked. Joy knows her basic commands, is eager to please, and truly just wants someone to love her forever this time.
Boarding is not a place where Joy can thrive long term. She had a couch, a routine, and people she loved — and now she’s back behind kennel doors wondering what happened.
We urgently need a foster or adopter for Joy so she doesn’t lose hope. She deserves stability. She deserves comfort. Most of all, she deserves someone who won’t give up on her.
Please help us rewrite Joy’s story.
