DESCRIPTION
Meet Benita.
She sat quietly, waiting her turn to be seen. Scared, but still happy to see us. Gentle. Calm. Not particularly interested in treats—just taking everything in.
At an estimated 2–3 years old, Benita has already been overbred, and her ears have been cut down to almost nothing. We don't know her whole story, but we know this sweet girl deserves a future filled with kindness.
She tested great with other dogs. We don't yet know how she feels about cats. And even in an unfamiliar place, with every reason to be afraid, she showed us such a gentle spirit.
She is honestly our kind of girl. The very dog we advocate for at Polk County Bully Project. The dog people may judge by her appearance before ever getting to know her. The dog who deserves to be seen, valued, and loved.
Benita deserves to be someone's baby. To rest comfortably, feel safe, and have a family who asks nothing of her except to be herself.
We see you, beautiful girl. And we're so glad you're here
