But if you're looking for 28 pounds of pure love, mischief, determination, and absolute CHAOS, then Griffey might just be your guy!
Griffey is a 10-month-old exotic bulldog puppy who came into our rescue with little to no use of his back right leg. But what this little guy lacks in mobility, he makes up for in HEART.
Over the last few months, Griffey has worked his little booty off in physical therapy, and we are SO proud of how far he's come!
Is his mobility perfect? Nope.
Will it ever be perfect? Probably not.
Does Griffey care? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
In Griffey's mind, he's just like every other puppy... and he fully intends to act like it!
This boy is the sweetest, orneriest little troublemaker you'll ever meet. He loves nibbling on toes, causing a little (okay, a LOT) of chaos, and making sure there is never a dull moment in the house.
And other dogs?! HE LOVES THEM!
Just know his preferred play style is less gentle puppy playdate and more WWE SMACKDOWN.
Despite his physical challenges, Griffey gets himself where he needs to go around the house. He may do things a little differently, but he certainly doesn't let that stop him!
He would LOVE a family who takes him on adventures in his very own stroller, lets him experience the world, and doesn't mind giving him a little lift up and down the stairs. Thankfully, at just 28 pounds, he's a pretty manageable little passenger!
Now, here's the important part.
Griffey doesn't need someone who feels sorry for him. He needs someone who BELIEVES in him.
Someone who sees everything he CAN do instead of focusing on what he can't.
Griffey currently attends physical therapy once a week, and we would love to find a family committed to continuing his therapy, keeping up with his exercises at home, and giving him every opportunity to live the happiest, fullest life possible.
He doesn't need a perfect body to have a perfect life.
He just needs his perfect person.
Someone who will celebrate his progress, laugh at his ridiculous antics, carry him when he needs a little help, and love him exactly as he is.
Because underneath all that bulldog sass and those squishy cheeks is one incredibly special little boy who has worked SO hard for his second chance.
And we think it's about time he gets his happily ever after.

-All current pets in the home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and on veterinarian prescribed flea/tick/heart worm prevention.
-Everyone living in the home, including all resident dogs, must be present at the meet and greet located in the Southwest Ohio area.
-We DO NOT ship dogs!!!
