DESCRIPTION

Some dogs are elegant gazelles. Some dogs are sleek athletes. Tilly Willy, on the other hand, appears to have been assembled out of a potato, a baby hippo, and pure love. Affectionately nicknamed Ms. Beefy, this short and stocky little hambone is built like she was designed specifically for hugging. She has the biggest puppy dog eyes, the squishiest face, and a happy-go-lucky personality that makes everyone around her smile. The best part? Tilly genuinely loves people. Like really, really loves them. She's the type of dog that makes you feel like you're the best part of her day every single day.

Watch her video and prepare to fall in love with this squishy little beefcake: https://youtu.be/yuZIpFE6NaE

Tilly Willy is approximately 3 years old, weighs around 55 lbs, and we believe she is an American Bully. With rescue it's always a mystery and we can never guarantee breed or age. What we can guarantee is that she is one adorable chunk of a dog. She may look bigger in photos, but in person she's actually what we like to call a small big dog. Short, stocky, squishy, and absolutely perfect for cuddling.

One of the first things you'll notice about Tilly is how sweet she is. Not just friendly. Not just affectionate. Sweet. The kind of sweet that feels genuine all the way down to her soul. She loves her people deeply and forms strong bonds with them. If you're looking for a dog that's going to become your best friend, your shadow, your couch buddy, and your biggest fan all wrapped into one adorable package, Tilly checks every box. She is currently fostered by a single mom who works from home and shares her home with a busy 2-year-old little boy who, as most toddlers do, is constantly on the move. Running, yelling, dropping snacks, throwing toys, getting into everything. Tilly handles it all beautifully.

She has also spent plenty of time around multiple children under the age of 9 and has been wonderful with them as well. She is patient, tolerant, incredibly gentle, and just a happy little pig around kids. Every now and then she'll get excited when meeting a new person or a new tiny human friend and may offer a quick jump to say hello, but it's very short-lived and she responds well to corrections. Her foster says she's only jumped a handful of times and it really is just in the beginning and then after that, she never really repeats it. Give Tilly a boundary and be consistent with it and she learns quickly. Now her tail on the other end, that thing just wags and wags and has a mind of its own. When it gets going and you happen to be in the cross hairs, it can getcha, but who doesn't love a happy dog? She truly has all the makings of an incredible family dog.

Tilly is also dog friendly and has done wonderfully with every dog she's met. Big dogs, small dogs, confident dogs, playful dogs, she gets along with everyone. She's currently fostered with a confident 6-year-old female pittie and the two do great together. They share beds, hang out in the yard together, and enjoy each other's company. The funny thing is that while her foster's dog does most of the running, Tilly is usually more interested in supervising. She's got about a two-second burst of enthusiasm and then she's ready to return to her regularly scheduled relaxation. If another dog gets a little too rough or pushy during play, Tilly is perfectly capable of politely communicating that she'd rather not participate, and the conversation usually ends there. She's also done great around cats on multiple occasions and has shown herself to be respectful and appropriate every time.

When it comes to energy levels, Tilly has life figured out. She's chill about 80% of the time and the other 20% is reserved for very important occasions like breakfast, dinner, waking up in the morning, or seeing her favorite people after they've been gone. During these exciting moments, she does the cutest little tiptoe dances and lets out happy piggy squeals and snorts that are guaranteed to make you laugh. It's impossible not to smile when she's excited.

Tilly is crate trained and very quiet in her kennel. Her foster crates her when she leaves the house simply because that's her preference, not because Tilly needs it. The rest of the time, Tilly enjoys free roaming privileges and has proven herself to be a trustworthy houseguest. At night she sleeps peacefully on her dog bed in her foster mom's room alongside her foster sibling. She is fully potty trained, has wonderful house manners, and has never had an accident in her foster home. She's not destructive, doesn't get into things she shouldn't, and generally prefers staying close to her people. Tilly is also good to talk on walks around the neighborhood. She is easy to walk on a leash, doesn't bark at other dogs, or make your walk stressful at all. She may pull a little bit to go after a squirrely but again, she's easy to correct.

As for toys? Tilly will occasionally pick one up and entertain herself, but if given the choice between a toy and affection, she's choosing affection every time. She's a foodie through and through and loves snacks of all kinds. Despite her love for food, she has excellent manners around her foster's toddler and has never stolen food from him. She does, however, make sure no crumb goes to waste and can usually be found nearby just in case quality control services are needed.

Her foster describes her as pretty much perfect, and honestly, we understand why. Tilly is sweet, funny, affectionate, easygoing, dog friendly, kid friendly, cat friendly, and has enough personality to keep you smiling every day. More than anything though, Tilly is the kind of dog that loves with her whole heart. The kind of dog that becomes family. The kind of dog that makes a house feel more like home. The kind of dog people talk about years later when they say, "She was one of the best dogs I've ever had."

If you're looking for a soul dog, Tilly might just be waiting for you.

We are willing to test Tilly Willy with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
