POE is LOCATED in STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS
Are you looking for a young dog to help you thoroughly enjoy life, or to remind you that no matter how old you are, there's always time to go outside and play? Look no further than Poe. He'll be your best-est boy and will keep you young at heart.
Meet Poe!!!
As a puppy, poor Poe was found abandoned along the side of the road and has been in several boarding situations for nearly two years. He's recently been placed with a foster and is bringing all kinds of joy and a lust for life to her place. Poe has been learning the joys of car rides, pup cups, playing with balls, kiddy pools, learning to fetch frisbees, and most importantly what love looks like.
Poe is a very happy, approximately 2 years old, 58 lbs., neutered male pittie mix. He's mostly house trained. He's only had two accidents since moving to his foster's and will now sleep through the night indoors without any accidents. He also takes the phrase "go outside and play" as his personal mantra. He's great with other dogs but can be protective of his food bowl; just feed him separately. He's also kennel trained. Though, he's not particularly fond of it.
He's learning about being around kids. He recently accepted a treat from a 3-year-old, which was a big step for Poe. Poe really like women and is most comfortable around them. He can be very wary of men and new people; (he cowers), so he'll need time and patience to adjust.
Poe does well on leash and loves water. He's a super chewer of stuffed toys and dog beds. He prefers sleeping on rugs and sturdier chew toys that he can't destroy instantly. He's still very much a puppy at heart, so keeping him busy and stuff you don't want chewed away from him is a must. Poe is NOT GOOD with CATS!
Poe is up to date on vaccines, rabies, and is on preventatives for fleas/ticks/heartworms and other intestinal parasites. If you're ready to go for a car ride, walk, or to play ball,
Poe is ready to be your best-est boy. If interested in possibly adopting Poe, or just want to learn more about him, please send an email to comancheapa@gmail.com
We'd love to tell you everything we know about him and our adoption process.
